Survey: Consumer pick credit cards based on the perks



A new survey by CardRates.com finds that 83% of cardholders choose new credit cards based on perks, with hospitality benefits like hotel upgrades and lounge access ranking high despite limited use. For store-specific cards, nearly half of respondents favor ongoing rewards over one-time discounts or special financing offers.
