Small business sales slowed in June in most categories

June 2024 saw a 1.6% year-over-year increase in small business sales but a 2.9% drop from May. General merchandise led yearly growth at 8.5%, while motor vehicle and parts dealers saw a 4.1% decline. Monthly, general merchandise slightly increased, but other categories fell.
