Restaurants added nearly 25 thousand jobs in May 2024

The U.S. economy added 272,000 jobs in May, with 24,600 in the eating and drinking places sector. This growth continues a trend from April, which saw 9,200 jobs added. Overall, leisure and hospitality added 42,000 jobs in May.
