RADIO MERCURY AWARDS RESCHEDULES EVENT FOR FALL 2020
NEW YORK— March 24, 2020 — In light of the current public health measures in place due to COVID-19, the Radio Mercury Awards currently scheduled for June 4, 2020 will be postponing the awards show to Oct. 6, 2020, at SONY HALL in New York City. This decision comes in consultation with the Radio Mercury Awards Advisory Council and the Radio Advertising Bureau Executive Committee.

Call for Entry remains open and will be extended until Aug. 3, 2020. Entry eligibility will also be extended to Aug. 3, 2020. 

“The Radio Mercury Awards is committed to maintaining the safety and health of all our participants,” said Erica Farber, President and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau. “We look forward to bringing the creative community together later in the year to honor and celebrate the best radio creative work done in the U.S.”

About the Radio Mercury Awards

The Radio Mercury Awards, the only competition exclusively devoted to radio, was established in 1992 to encourage and reward the development of effective and creative radio commercials. The annual Radio Mercury Awards competition draws entries from advertising agencies, production houses, radio stations and educational institutions across the country. Approximately 20,000 commercials have competed for close to $3.5 million in prizes. The Radio Creative Fund (RCF), a nonprofit corporation funded by the radio industry, governs the Radio Mercury Awards. The Radio Advertising Bureau produces the Radio Mercury Awards.
